How will going to college help you achieve your dreams and goals?
My biggest goal in life is to simply be the best at whatever I choose to do. As of now, I intend to study mechanical engineering, meaning in the future I strive to become the best engineer there ever was. However, I am aware that the path I am on now is likely to change, and I understand that I have many interests, skills, and talents that all could one day become careers. Despite the fact that my future is uncertain, I am positive that whatever route I choose, a college education will be needed in order to truly be successful.

Explain who/what in your life has inspired you to go to college.
My father has been my biggest influence to go to college because I understand how much his education has done for him. He was raised by a poor family on the Hawaiian Islands, and after graduating high school he knew he could not afford to further his education at that point in time. He joined the military as a teenager and after serving for 4 years, he realized that the next step he had to take was to attend college. He enrolled at Mississippi State University and studied to receive an agronomy degree. Using the knowledge and skills he gained in college, he found quality work in the golf course industry, was able to pay off all of loans, raised four kids including myself, and ultimately became my role model.

Explain your biggest obstacle to overcome in making college happen and what you're doing to help overcome it.
The biggest obstacles that I must face as college approaches are all financial. My parents will provide some support, however I am aware that unless I assist them by receiving scholarships, earning college credits, and working to save my own money, the only way I will be able to afford an education from a four year university, is by taking out loans. To overcome these financial difficulties I made a simple plan. This plan of doing everything in my ability to save money and earn college credit, is portrayed in my video, and I am working everyday to make it happen.
